shih tzu

Tippy our shih tzu can be a picky eater, but when he is hungry he will really let you know it. He will go into the kitchen and bang around his plastic food dish or flip it up in the air. One evening he did this and the dish landed on his head. My wife and I fell over laughing. I rushed to get the camera and this photo was the result.

While being a cute shot I feel the importance of the photo is that it indicates how much pure joy Tippy gives to our family. In addition it shows how playful and happy Tippy now is. This is the same poor little guy who had been badly abused and was found on the streets all matted, with open sores and bruises. We rescued him from the dog pound days before he was to be put to sleep. Tippy was in such bad shape that our neighbor, who has several pets and loves animals, said "Only a mother could love that face!." His transformation, and the happiness he has given us illustrates the rewards of adopting a dog from a shelter. Not only would this loving little guy have lost his life but we would have been deprived of all he has given us.

Please save the life of a dog.
Without a doubt you will be greatly rewarded.

Did you know.Benji, the mixed breed dog, whose movies grossed over $100 million, was originally an orphan puppy at a California animal shelter?
