I am an Assistant Professor in the Division of Medical Education. The Division offers weekend faculty development seminars that may be taken independently, as part of a year-long fellowship program, or as a two-year master's degree.
I teach in our faculty development program and guide students in their master's educational research projects. I also teach classes in computer assisted learning. Other professional responsibilities include working with the medical school faculty in the Year I and Year II Keck School of Medicine curriculum revision, and serving on USC's research Institutional Review Board.
My current research interests include empathy development in medical students, electronic case-based education, and changes in students' attitudes and learning when an audience response system is used during lecture.
My other interests include tennis, biking, and Pilates.
