Health Care for All Action Committee
As part of California Alliance for Legislative Action for Universal HealthCare (CALAUHC we work closely withother AMSA chapters to advocate for quality, affordable health care for all on the federal and state levels. Universal Health Care Lobby Day is January 12, 2009 in Sacramento.Lobby Day provides an exciting opportunity to influence state health care policy and meet students from other California medical schools. For more information, click here.
We also collaborate with other socially-minded student groups, including Student Physicians for Social Responsibility, California Student Physicians for Healthcare Reform, and California Physicians Alliance (CaPA) to host educational events for our peers and to create a united voice on a local, state, and national level.
AMSA leadership institutes and conferences provide students with the opportunity to develop skills in lobbying and public speaking and connect with institutions around the country.
